MEET STEAM DOWN’S FOUNDER: ahnansé

Ahnansé is a dynamic force in the music scene, a London-born, Caribbean-rooted multi-instrumentalist, composer, conductor, producer, and the founder behind Steam Down. His classical foundation, forged at Trinity College of Music, where he mastered jazz, contemporary, and classical composition and orchestration, is the bedrock of his innovative approach.

Steam Down, the artist collective, weekly event, and community he birthed in 2017, has rapidly captured London's attention, culminating in two Jazz FM awards, including the prestigious Innovation Award. Beyond these accolades, Ahnansé's music has resonated globally.

His collaborations extend beyond Steam Down, encompassing work with the Colombian collective Mestizo, the notable band United Vibrations alongside Yussef Dayes, and performing with long-standing collaborator Theon Cross.
